ShotBatch for Mac
Privacy Policy
Effective 1 November 2026. Applies to the ShotBatch macOS app and these pages.
ShotBatch is a local-first Mac app published by MRLCDC LLC, which acts as the data controller for the limited data described here. The app turns a finished music-video or wedding master into a content pack on the computer you already have. This notice describes what the current product does with data.
What stays on your Mac
Masters, stills, clips, GIFs, transcripts, stems, project names, review choices, studio profile, and trial state are read from or written to locations you select. ShotBatch uses security-scoped bookmarks so it can reopen those files after quit. Client media is not uploaded, not used for training, and not used for marketing.
Optional lyric mapping uses Apple on-device speech recognition. ShotBatch does not send the master to a transcription server. If on-device speech is unavailable or you decline it, analysis continues with picture and local audio-energy mapping only.
Purchases
The Mac App Store edition uses Apple StoreKit. Apple processes the payment under Apple’s privacy policy. ShotBatch reads verified entitlement IDs needed to unlock Lite or Pro.
Direct purchases on this site are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. When you buy, Paddle collects the personal data needed to complete the sale, manage payments, handle tax compliance, and issue invoices, under Paddle’s privacy policy. MRLCDC LLC receives order confirmation details (such as your name, email, and product purchased) so we can provide support and verify your license. Our legal basis is performance of the purchase contract and our legitimate interest in operating and securing the store.
Network
- The core workflow does not require a network connection.
- The App Store build may contact Apple for StoreKit to verify Lite and Pro purchases.
- The optional Real-ESRGAN upscaler may download model weights once. That download is not client footage.
- Share pack writes a folder you can copy to your own host. ShotBatch does not host galleries and does not upload the master.
Website analytics
The marketing website loads first-party analytics through /~flock.js, supplied by our website host, Lovable. This is separate from the Mac app and does not upload your masters. It records page visits, referring pages, visited URLs, browser information, language and approximate country inferred from browser settings, and page-performance measurements so we can understand website traffic and performance.
These pages also load Google's ads tag (AW-18555053345) so Google Ads can measure visits from ShotBatch ads. That tag runs on the website only. It is not in the Mac app and does not receive video masters.
The analytics script supports a session identifier stored in a first-party cookie or browser storage, depending on the hosting configuration. We therefore do not claim that these pages are free of analytics cookies. Analytics requests are processed by our hosting and analytics providers. Contact l@mrlcdc.com with questions or privacy requests about website analytics.
What we do not collect
The Mac app does not collect account data, location, contacts, browsing history, or diagnostics from your Mac. There is no ShotBatch app user account. Website analytics and purchase processing are separate from local media processing, as described above.
Retention and deletion
You control source media and exported files in the folders you chose. Quit and delete the app to remove local trial and project records stored in the app’s container. Bookmarks become inert if you move or delete the original files.
Children
ShotBatch is a professional media tool. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, contact us through the Support page. For data held by Paddle about a purchase, contact Paddle via paddle.net.
